2010 PRESEASON HOUSING AND MEAL INFORMATION
Welcome to UW-La Crosse! We look forward to your early arrival on our campus as a student-athlete. The two week charge for staying on campus is $120.00 and will be billed directly to your account. During the preseason all student-athletes will be housed in
Hutchison Hall
. Check in is Saturday, August 14th from 10 am to 1 pm. Our first meeting is in 122 Wimberly at 1:00 pm. Plan to eat prior to the meeting. Your first meal on campus is later in the afternoon. The following information is very important in making your early arrival and stay easier.

1. Move-in Information:
You will only be allowed to move in on the date and during the time listed above. If you cannot move in during that time, you must contact Coach Terry regarding your extenuating circumstances. If extenuating circumstances require you to move in on an earlier day, you will be personally responsible for any additional charges.
2. Permanent Items:
When you move in as previously listed, you will be allowed to move some of your belongings into your permanent residence hall room for storage purposes. If you wish to do this, you must email Residence Life at nicklaus.harr@uwlax.edu and include your name and permanent residence hall.
3. Permanent Room:
All student-athletes will move from preseason housing to their permanent residence hall on August 29th.
4. Desk Hours:
The front desk at Hutchison Hall will have hours posted upon your arrival. The telephone number at the front desk is 608-789-2500. This will assist you in your ability to contact student-athletes during the preseason-housing period.
5. Mail Delivery:
If you want to receive mail/packages during the preseason period, please have them addressed to:

6. Emergency Card:
Those players staying in the residence life hall will be asked to fill out a yellow contact card in case of an emergency.
7. Items Needed:
Bring the following items to your preseason room:
· Bed linens
· Towels
· Clothing and personal belongings for approximately two weeks
· Optional: telephone (to make local calls, receive incoming calls, or to make long distance calls
8. Squad Cuts:
We hope that cuts will be made after August 29th, which is when you are allowed to move into your permanent room. However, if cuts are made prior to this time and you are one of the unfortunate ones who get cut, you will have 24 hours to vacate the preseason housing. It is very important that you follow proper checkout procedures with the hall director prior to departure.
9. Parking:
If you bring a vehicle with you, please park it in Resident Lot #1 (14th St & Pine St). It will be necessary to purchase a parking pass ($5.00 per day). The parking passes can be purchased at Protective Services and the vehicle must be registered by Monday morning.
10. Meals:
You will be responsible for payment of your meals during preseason practice. Meals at Whitney will begin on August 14th with the evening meal. The university meal plan does not begin until Saturday, September 4th. Sign up for meals on campus will take place when you check in at Hutchison Hall
The cost of the meals is $14.00 per day for 21 days for a total of $291.25. This price covers two meals a day (lunch and dinner) which will be an all you can eat meal. If you choose a one meal a day plan, the price is $6.95 for lunch and $7.25 for dinner. Charges include food and beverage and will be billed to your student account. Please do not send checks through the mail.
Meal Times:
Lunch – 11:30 to 12:30 pm
Dinner – 6:00 to 7:00 pm
If you are cut from the team, money for meals will be refunded for the days that you are no longer on campus. Money will not be refunded for meals missed during the days in which you were on campus and practicing.
